Dear Clients, Patients, Friends,
After 12 years, I am closing L A R Physical Therapy at the end of December. I have taken a job with Johns Hopkins in their Outpatient Clinic in Odenton that starts in January.
The past 12 years have meant so much. I never would have imagined that I would own my own business. I opened LAR PT to provide physical therapy and fitness services for people along their lifespan and to create a community that provided services along a fitness continuum. I feel I have achieved these goals.
I had have so many wonderful repeat and on-going clients who have become family to me. I spend more time with some of my clients than with my extended family. Along the journey, my office has been in three locations, I have had three administrative assistants, three physical therapists work for LAR PT, and my family has grown by three!! Good things must come in threes because Hopkins will be my third job!!
Though I will be working in a different county, Odenton isn’t very far away. I will be working similar hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I will keep this email active and will continue to post occasionally on Facebook and Instagram! There is rumor that Johns Hopkins will be opening a new outpatient clinic in Columbia in 2018, so I hope to be back in Howard County in the near future.
The change will hopefully allow many of you, your friends, and family to see me without the barrier of insurance. While it will be different, I will still treat my patients with the same care and commitment as I have always had.
I am so thankful to all of you who are like MY therapists. Working with each of you helps me process my life, from how to be a parent myself to how to handle the loss of my mother in 2015. I learn so much each day from my patients and I plan to continue the life long learning that comes from working with others.
As we head into 2018, I am grateful for the people and experiences that LAR PT has provided. The past is prologue and I look forward to a bright future and hope that you will be a part of it. Please come see me at my new facility starting the week of January 8.
All the best,
